Why Sorare?
I could say plenty of positive things about Sorare at this point, but I couldn’t help to notice one of the aspects which could be key in their success.
Sorare is great at bringing together football fans from all over the world, being a truly global fantasy footbal game. If you join the discord channel, you can hang out with users from everywhere, share news, great insights and plenty of feedback. It’s the platform where football fans can fight against each others in a civilised manner, through the SO5 tournaments. The line “put your money where your mouth is” couldn’t fit better cause on Sorare you can buy the players you preach are the best and if you are right you’ll get rewarded for this. And trust me these rewards can be very consistent – my first U23 D4 win came in April, less than 2 months since I started. I captained Vlasic after I just bought him for about £50 days before and went on to win U23 Div 4. I was so baffled when the prizes came in – my rewards: A rare Felix and a rare De Ligt – they were both up on my shortlists for future purchases and there was no way I’d sell but a lot of offers came in for them and I reckon I could have easily sold them both for £400. At the time that was 20% of my investement in Sorare and made me realize how lucrative this platform can be without even taking into consideration the huge potential it has or the capital appreciation opportunities. So I came up with a plan to invest more in the coming months and build a competitive and diverse gallery by compounding all I got from rewards and the money I put in. The plan was set and put in montion. The following months Sorare went through all sorts of improvements, from UI to gameplay and design, building the path for the greather success which I have no doubt Sorare will be. The platform is more robust now and the new scoring sistem is way easier to understand especially for new comers. I could even go and say it’s the superior fantasy football experience, adding a lot more excitement to match days. Last added feature – Ramp – was implemented so we can top-up Sorare Wallets directly from a credit/debit card in the preffered currency and it’s a big step in on-boarding users who are not so familiar with crypto or ethereum. They are also increasing the numbers of staff, recently bringing in a former community developer for Top Eleven(football manager game) and also placed advertisements for other positions.
Sorare is growing organically at a fast pace and the stats don’t lie. The number of card owners more than doubled in the last 6 months and the player prices are on a ascending path since I joined. Keep in mind that cards have a lot more utility now than they use to have at the beginning of 2020, when there were maximum 12 available leagues to compete in. Now there are up to 21 tournaments each gameweek and plenty more possibilities to win prizes on top of the chance to grind for ETH in the All Star Division 4 with average teams which can still be bought for very reasonable prices.
On top of these great opportunities offered by Sorare, I’d say all the licensed teams are also benefiting from getting more exposure to their respective clubs and teams and their players are getting more well known, all this on top of getting part of the sales revenue. Seeing them adding PSG & Bayern just weeks apart, made me confident believing that most of the clubs will want to take part in this and it’s just a matter of time till it will happen. And than it will truly be the global fantasy game played by hundreds of thousands. I could even go on and say this is part of a revolution in the way people are “betting” on football events or football players because Sorare is the place where you truly get rewarded for your football knowledge.
